With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Carleton Gwyn in Winston Salem, North Carolina, who passed away on July 4, 2023 at the age of 70. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Rachel Gwyn and Arthur Brown; his brothers, Charles Gwyn, Sr., Carl Gwyn and Regan Gwyn; his nephew Fred Commodore, Jr.; his brother-in-law Fred Commodore, Sr.; his aunt Mary Gwyn; and his cousins, Veronica G. Pelzer, Vernon Gwyn and Wayne Gwyn.
He is survived by: his sisters, Carleene G. Commodore, Vanessa G. Galloway (Jerry), Druscilla "Peaches" Gwyn, Zoe Gwyn, Dulce Gwyn and Regana G. Linton; his cousin Rodney Gwyn; his sister-in-law Brenda L. Gwyn; his extended family Donald Pelzer, Sr.; and his close friends, Carl Scales, Robert Dunlap, Jr. and Iva Wright.
