He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Bynum Bailey and Lula Whitehurst Bailey; and his brothers, JB Bailey and Harold Bailey. He is survived by: his wife Betty Kye Bailey; his daughter Mitzi Williams (Aaron); his grandchildren, Miranda Williams and Bailey Williams; his sister Ruby Whitley; and his nephew Kirk. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Memorial Contributions may be made to Triad Baptist Church for the youth group's summer camp.
