He was predeceased by: his parents, William Edgar Hill and Mavis Tripp Hill; his wife Barbara Sue Styers Hill; his son David Lee Hill (Hand); and his siblings, William E. Hill, Harvey B. Hill, Edgar H. Hill and Barbara Ann Perry.

He is survived by: his children, Mark David Hill (Kelly) and Shawn Leigh Hill; and his grandsons, Logan, Alex and Aaron. He is also survived by one great-granddaughter; and many nieces and nephews.
