She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph Watson and Arletha Watson; her husband Russell DeVan; her siblings, Ada Darnell Watson, Grace Marie Watson and Ralph Edward Watson; and her daughter Gwendolyn Renee Watson.
She is survived by: her aunts, Little Honey and Honey (AJ); her nieces, Cynthia Watson Jeffries of Winston-Salem, NC and Sherrie Francine Dampeer of Brooklyn; and her goddaughters, Moneca Jackson of Brooklyn and Tarja Huggins of Washington, DC. She is also survived by brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews.
