He was predeceased by: his mother Bernice B. Edwards; his brother Tonny Jarrett; and his stepfather Willie C. Edwards. He is survived by: his wife Geraland Jarrett; his children, Tiffany Jarrett, Crystal Hughes (Mark), Aaron Jarrett, Jr. (Tekoa) and Darryl Martin (Anita); his son-in-law Donald Blackwell; and his close friends, Don Ellis (Doris) and George Jones. He is also survived by five sisters-in-law; two brothers-in-law; eight grandchildren; eight great grandchildren.
