He is survived by: his wife Barbara Sistare Phifer; his daughters, Wendy Phifer Outen (Marc) and Jennifer Guptill (Steven); his stepchildren, Tonia Pate (David) and Darrin Copeland (Joey); his siblings, Dennis Phifer (Ann) and Kathy Phifer Rape; and his grandchildren, Jonathan Starnes, Mason Starnes, Christopher Guptill, Kaitlin Guptill, Raven Baker, Isiah Baker, T. J. Pate and Christian Copeland.
