He is survived by: his wife Deddie Bryant Bowen; his daughter Amanda Faith Bowen; his sisters, Wionna Bowen Peaks of Williamston and Marion Bowen Myers of Hortense, Georgia; and his parents, Betty Ann Crandell (Carter) and Archie Lee Bowen of Williamston.
