He was predeceased by: his father Robert Earl Bland; and his son Robert Dale Bland, II. He is survived by: his mother Laura Roberson Bland of Williamston; his daughters, Madison Bland Toader (Sorin) of Norfolk, VA and Katelynn Bland of Bethel; his sister Sheila Willis (Glenn) of Madison, MS; his former wife Kimberley Lester of Bethel; his nephew Zack Willis; and his grandchildren, Jaxon, Liam, Brody Toader, Natallie and Paisley Bland.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Walker Funeral Home, P.O. Box 456, Windsor, NC 27983 to assist the family with funeral expenses.

“My name is Dawn. I work at the Duck Thru in Hamilton, NC. Every time Dale would come in the store, he would have a smile on his face. We would talk and joke around. I never had a problem with Dale. He was such a sweet man. Dale never had a bad thing to say about anyone. I've only known him from the store had opened 2018. He would always look for me on the store and start talking. He was a sweetheart and a good man to talk to. I'm going to miss him. I know that he's looking down at us.”
