We are sad to announce that on August 14, 2023, at the age of 90, Marie Sears Barnhill in Williamston, North Carolina, born in Scranton, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Daniel Webster and Maribelle Gibbs Sears; her husband Hugh Bell; and her siblings, Amanda Sears Schmitt, Daniel Webster Sears, Jr. and Nathan Sears.

She is survived by: her siblings, Charles Sears (Debbie) of Fairfield, Marlis Smith of Fairfield, Sara Meekins of Engelhard, Mary Armstrong (Jerry) of Fairfield and Janet Russ (Anthony) of Fairfield. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions in Marie's honor may be made to the Martin Community College Foundation at 1161 Kehukee Park Road, Williamston.
