He is survived by: his children, Dr. Ervin M. Scott (Loretta) of Chesapeake, VA, Marilyn Delores Scott of Williamston, NC and Ernest S. Scott Jr.; and his sister-in-law Catherine Whitley of Norfolk, VA. He is also survived by grandchildren, nieces, cousins, and lifelong friends.
