He was predeceased by: his parents, McKinley Curry and Cordie Brown Curry; his wife Mary Bell Medley Curry; and his siblings, Ethel Curry, Cora Harkey, Mary Kerly, Nancy Laws, Clyde and Gaston Curry.

He is survived by: his children, Mary Maltba (Homer) of Millers Creek, Mae Boggs (David) of Wilkesboro, Jesse "Fox" Curry (Lisa) of McGrady and Agnes Boggs (Junior) of Mulberry; and his grandchildren, Homer Lee Maltba, Deanna Maltba, Kayla Kanagy, Emily Davis, Joshua Fox, Tyler Fox, Amber Boggs and Andrew Boggs. He is also survived by eight great grandchildren.
