She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel Jones and Bessie Ann Huffman Davis; her husbands, Willard Gene Shew and Benjamin Turner; and her siblings, Alma Laws, Marie Davis, Dare Minton, Iva Dean Goforth, Margie Moore, Bonnie Davis, Marvin Davis and William "Dink" Davis.
She is survived by: her children, Donna Shew Mulnix (Donald) of Beaufort, SC, Kimberly Peace (Brian) of Davidson and Jeffrey Shew (Doug Peters) of Wilkesboro; her grandchildren, Alison Kralick (Jonathan), Thomas Mulnix (Katie), Amy Whelan (Brandon), Katie Peace and Lauren Peace; her great grandchildren, Aiden Ball, Addison Ball, Charlotte Whelan, Daniel Kralick, Ezra Kralick and Abigail Kralick; and her sister Ruth Anderson of North Wilkesboro.
