It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gordon Miller Sr. of Wilkesboro, North Carolina, who passed away on October 20, 2021, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, William Reece and Nettie Proffit Miller; his daughter Melissa Utt; and his siblings, William, Edwin, Kent, David and Mary Ruth Payne.
He is survived by: his wife Myrtle Jean Hudler Miller; his son Gordon P. Miller, Jr.; his grandchildren, Gordon Miller of Berryville, AR, Cullen Miller of Springdale, AR, Mary Gordon Utt of New York, NY, Carolina Utt of Paris, France and Brener Utt of Raleigh; his siblings, Teresa Devane (Lindsay Devane) and John H. Miller (Angelia Miller) of Sparta; his son-in-law Paul W. Utt (Anne) of Raleigh; his sister-in-law Bobbie Jones of Winston Salem; and also, Rocky Proffit (Tammy) of Davidson, Ricky Proffit (Dianne) of Laurel Springs, Brady Proffit (Mitzi) of Sparta, Rita Proffit Wagoner of Sparta and Pam Osborne. He is also survived by Many nieces and nephews.
