He was predeceased by: his parents, Stradie Roten and Maggie Shepherd Roten; and his brother Pete Roten. He is survived by: his wife Linda Combs Roten of Wilkesboro; his son Timothy James Roten (Scott William Foor) of Winston Salem; his brothers, Hayden Roten (Lisa) of North Wilkesboro and Bill Roten of Millers Creek; and his sisters-in-law, Betty Combs of North Wilkesboro and Brenda Combs of North Wilkesboro. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
