He was predeceased by: his parent Hampton Dewitt Tison; his son Timothy Tison; and his siblings, Murle Tison, Lloyd Tison, Doris Rhuvene King, Virginia Butler and Janice Hamaker.
He is survived by: his parent Alma Long Tison; his sister Jewell Williams of Ash, NC; his stepson Kevin Strickland of Las Vegas, NV; and also Yvonne Strickland of Green Sea, SC. He is also survived by several niece and nephews.
