He is survived by: his parent James "Luke" Eugene Herring; his wife Joyce Faye Griffin Herring; his children, Billy Ray Hannon (Lorie) of Whiteville and Lorie H. Canady (Chris) of Hallsboro; his sister Josie H. Butler of Chadbourn; his grandchildren, Mandy Hannon and Chelsea Lee; and his great grandchildren, Carson Skipper, Cali Brewer, Ryder Nance and Nixon Nance.
