He was predeceased by: his parents, Horry Watts and Ora Watts; and his siblings, Trudy Watts Blake, James O'Neil Watts and Bobby Dale Watts.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Layell Watts; his sons, Jimmy Lee Watts (Vicki) of Tarheel and Ronnie Dale Watts (Kelly) of Zebulon; his siblings, Elwood Watts (Betty) of Whiteville, Herschel Watts of Greenville, NC, Retha Thompson of Whiteville, Mona Kahl (Jim) of Pinehurst and Pearl Freedman (Bill) of Clarkton; his grandchildren, Brandy Matheson, Alicia Watts, Steven Watts and Tamara Watts; and his great grandchildren, Jackson Matheson, Ethan Matheson and Brissa Matheson.
