He was predeceased by: his father Jerome C. Raper. He is survived by: his wife Jean Dixon Raper; his children, Jenny Royal (Danny), Scott "Jeromie" Raper (Sandra Riddle) and Todd "Ozcar" Raper (Rob Barrow); his grandsons, Jeremy Royal (Priya), Jeffrey Raper (Megan) and Justin Raper (Michele); his great grandchildren, Kiran, Alexandria, Naomi and John; and his brother Douglas Raper (Emily).
