He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert A. Davis and Eula Winston Davis; his son James "Tommy" Davis; his great grandchild Lillian Iva Davis; and his siblings, Nevell Davis and Evelyn Davis Daniels (Lee Daniels).
He is survived by: his wife Margaret Painter Davis; his daughter Pam Bounous (Lou); his daughter-in-law Mischa Hill Davis; his grandchildren, John Davis, Justin Davis (Jessica) and Taylor Bounous; his great grandchildren, Delaney, Jacob, Will and Sam; and his sister-in-law Jacquelyn Painter Davis.
For the safety of family and friends, the Davis family has requested that everyone wear a mask and practice social distancing during the visitation and service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Baptist Men of Clyde's Chapel Baptist Church.
