He was predeceased by: his parents, Hubert Hoyle and Bettie Gertrue Carter; and his significant other Nancy Lee Carter. He is survived by: his daughters, Roani Lee of Raleigh, NC and JoAnn Barnes (Ken) of Greeneville, NC; his siblings, Sandra Etheridge of Raleigh, NC, Bobby Carter and Johnny Carter; his grandchildren, Benjamin Levey (Samantha) and Danielle Miller (Corde); and his great grandchildren, Noah, Wyatt, Stacey and David.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations of sympathy may be made in Doug's name to Transitions LifeCare, 250 Hospice Circle, Raleigh, NC 27607.
