She was predeceased by: her parents, Wade Arlin and Kate Shoaf Walser; her husband Richard Arnold Phelps, Sr.; and her brothers, L. V. and Melvin Walser.
She is survived by: her children, Rick Phelps, Patricia Hudson (Kenny) of Thomasville, Jeff Phelps (Lisa) of Lexington and Mike Phelps of Welcome; and her siblings, Toby Walser, Talbert Walser (Carolyn) of Lexington and Doris Adkins of Welcome. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, twenty-four great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.
