It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lanny Leamon Watkins of Welcome, North Carolina, who passed away on January 8, 2021, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his brother Michael Moore. He is survived by: his wife Betty Jo (Dupree); his children, Chip, Rose Watkins of Smithfield, Serene Watkins of Apex, Rex and Cheryl Watkins of Garner; his grandchildren, Constance (Nick), C. J., Eli, Chelsea, Nicole (Andrew), Everette (Leah), Grant, Frederick and Caroline; his great grandchildren, Annabelle, Charlee, Blythe and Rylee; and his brother Horace "Buddy" Watkins (Myrna).
