He was predeceased by: his parents, Lonnie Elton Deans and Ruby Wall Deans; and his brother Starlon Deans. He is survived by: his wife Kay Williams Deans; his children, James Elton Deans, Jr. (Donna) of Henderson, Shannon Franks (Gary) of Garner and Pam Jackson (Gavin) of Henderson; his siblings, Elizabeth Dickerson (Curtis), Nancy Brantley (Harold) of Bailey, Marvin Deans (Elizabeth) and Rondy Deans (Catherine) of Bailey; and his sister-in-law Brenda Deans of Nashville. He is also survived by six grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
Those attending the service and visitation are asked to wear appropriate face coverings and practice social distancing.
