He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Calvin Greene and Florence Dubose Greene. He is survived by: his wife Linda Kittrell Greene; his children, Kini G. Heyl (Steve) of Louisburg, Gina G. Poteat (Tony) of Henderson, Rachel G. Poteat of Franklinton, Katie G. Clark (Daniel) of Youngsville and Darrel Bruce Greene, II (Rebecca) of Louisburg; and his siblings, Joyce Elaine Greene Harrell of Greenville, Stanley Miles Greene of Brevard and Gary Greene of Greenville. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Maria Parham Health Cancer Center for needy patients, 566 Ruin Creek Road, Henderson, NC 27536.
