We are sad to announce that on December 24, 2020, at the age of 91, Bennie Griffin of Welcome, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ludie Griffin and Lillie Bissette Griffin; his wife Shirley Mays Griffin; his daughter Susan Diane Griffin; and his grandson Eric Scott Griffin.
He is survived by: his children, Sheila G. Franklin (Sammy) of Henderson, David Griffin (Barbara) of Henderson, Ray Griffin (Allene) of Greensboro and Timmy Griffin (Danielle) of Wilmington; and his siblings, Lissie G. Denton of Spring Hope, Raymond Griffin of Henderson and Richard Griffin of Asheboro. He is also survived by 7 Grandchildren and 8 Great Grandchildren.
Those attending the service are asked to wear appropriate face coverings and maintain social distancing.
The family wishes to acknowledge the compassionate care provided by the Staff of Kerr Lake Nursing Home and his devoted caregiver, Candy Bullock Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the Ruin Creek Animal Protection Society, 165 US Hwy. 158 Bypass, Henderson, NC 27537 or to New Sandy Creek Baptist Church Building Fund, 1699 Weldon’s Mill Road, Henderson, North Carolina 27537.
