It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ayscue Lassiter Dorothy of Welcome, North Carolina, who passed away on July 22, 2021, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Robert Ayscue and Mary Hughes Ayscue; her husband Joseph F. Lassiter (Joe); her son Larry W. Lassiter; her great grandchild Abigail Hope Sullivan; and her siblings, Ethel Ayscue, James Ayscue, Nick Ayscue and Rebecca Camden.
She is survived by: her children, Mary Jo Wilson (Fred) and Robert F. Lassiter (Marilyn) of Henderson; her daughter-in-law Krista P. Lassiter of Wilson; her grandchildren, Jay Lassiter (Ginger), Mandy Sullivan (Wayne), Paige Hill (Wes), Michael Harrison (Lisa), Bill Harrison (Stephanie), Jennifer Alessi (Stephen) and Kate Parker (Josh); and her stepgrandsons, Dr. Rick Wilson and Daniel Wilson (Elizabeth). She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren.
