It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William Hampton Choate Sr. of Waynesville, North Carolina, born in Salisbury, North Carolina, who passed away on February 16, 2023, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. James Walter Choate and Dorothy Collins Choate. He is survived by: his daughter-in-law Michelle Choate of Hilton Head; and his grandsons, William "Tripp" Hampton Choate, III (Carlin Robertson) of Charlotte, Dylan David Choate of Asheville, Beau Mark Choate of Greensboro and Pre Ellis Choate of Greenville.
