She was predeceased by: her parents, William Baker and Ruby Agee Baker; her husband Billy B. Medford; her siblings, Sue Baker, Robert, Larry and Shirrell Baker; and her son-in-law Ronald Dale Rathbone.
She is survived by: her children, Doris Medford Rathbone of Clyde and Gerald Medford (Terri) of Simpsonville, SC; her brothers, A. J., Ralph and Harold Wayne Baker; and her grandchildren, Dawn Rathbone Jones (Johnny), Julie Rathbone Newland (Allen), Bryan Rathbone (Trisa) and Travis Medford (Cara). She is also survived by six great-grandchildren, and seven great-great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family wishes for donations to be made to Long's Chapel United Methodist Church, 175 Old Clyde Road, Waynesville, NC 28785.
