He is survived by: his wife ParaLee Evans Messer; his children, Donna Messer Hunter (David) and Anthony Messer (Wendy); his grandchildren, Alisha Hunter Hickman (Jeremy), Stephanie Hunter, Emily Messer and Ethan Messer; and his great grandchild Hannelore Hickman.
