He was predeceased by: his former wife Frances Massie; his wife Helen Massie; and his daughter Charlene Massie. He is survived by: his children, Hugh J Massie, Jr., Daniel Massie, Marla Sabin and Kathilynn Russell; and his brothers, Chuck Massie, Wallace Massie and Nick Massie. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren.
