It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Glenda Jo Smith of Waynesville, North Carolina, who passed away on July 7, 2020, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Thompson and Muriel Buchanan; her husband Billy Smith; and her son Gregory Arrington. She is survived by: her children, Carla Entwistle (Brandon Cates) of Easley, SC and Alan Arrington (Leslie Boyd); her brother Donnie Thompson (Helen Carver); her grandchildren, Jeff, Laura, Avery, Jake and Georgia; the father of her children Robert Arrington; and her close friend Tammie Waters of Waynesville. She is also survived by extended family and friends.
