It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of David Eugene Mathis of Waynesville, North Carolina, who passed away on December 17, 2021, at the age of 59, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Eugene Mathis and Joyce "Gin" Mathis of Virginia; and his brother Frankie Mathis. He is survived by: his daughter Hanna Mathis of Waynesville; his grandson Jaxon Mathis of Waynesville; and his close friends, Kenny Dotson of Maggie Valley and J. D. "Gus" Bright of Clyde. He is also survived by sisters-in-law; one brother-in-law, one niece and two nephews; an aunt and two uncles.
