He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Wheeler and Evelyn Johnson Wheeler; his sister Linda Gail Hand; and his stepfather J. D. Brannen. He is survived by: his wife Peggy Wheeler; his children, David Wheeler (Tammy) of Denver, NC and Paige Wheeler of Amory, MS; his stepchildren, Brian Harkins and Wendy Harkins; and his grandchildren, Ashley Wheeler Lau (Keenan) of Denver, NC, Caitlyn Lawson Hunt (Alex) of Tupelo, MS, Abby Wheeler Bullock (Landon) of Denver, NC and Colby Anderson of Amory, MS. He is also survived by five Great-grandchildren.
