She is survived by: her son Herman Matthews, Jr. (Selena) of Monroe; her daughter-in-law Kimberly Matthews of Charlotte; her sisters, Edith Gathings and Virginia Cook; and her grandchildren, Aaron (Emily), Drew, Gracie and Abby.
