He was predeceased by: his parents, Gideon Odell and Carrie Sims Couick; his wife Mickey Lucille Couick; and his son Buddy Couick. He is survived by: his children, Wayne Couick (Tammy), Ann Watson (Gary) of Waxhaw and Tammy Robinson (Keith) of Waxhaw; and his sisters, Irene Guion of Matthews and Joyce Hedgepath of Polkton. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, and twenty two great grandchildren.
