It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Cozette Boggan Baldwin (Wadesboro, North Carolina), born in Mount Gilead, North Carolina, who passed away on August 27, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lonnell Boggan and Selena Boggan (Nannie); and her husband Bobby Baldwin. She is survived by: her children, Robert "Butch" Baldwin (Patricia) of Mount Gilead, Lamont Baldwin, Jackie Baldwin, Barbara Lotharp (Gregory) of Charlotte, Velena Lilly (James) of Mount Gilead and Marnita McDonald (Kenny) of Mount Gilead; her grandchildren, Kim, Nicole, Lanisha, Morgan, Lemar, Mikhail, Kimora, Cooper, Cannon and Crew; her great grandchildren, Larika, Bobbi, Jaden, Tyler and Quintin; her great great grandchild Messiah; her grandson Keiran; her aunts, Bertha Davis of Alexandria and Emma Miller of New Haven, Connecticut.; her siblings-in-law, Harold Baldwin (Henrietta) of Troy, Gwen Baldwin of Greensboro and Willette Baldwin of Star; and her close friend Naomi "Nan" Boggan of Mount Gilead. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
