He is survived by: his son Daniel Carpenter of Lilesville; his grandchildren, Nicholas Hancock of Mt. Croghan, SC, Amanda Ratliff of Lilesville, Jonathan Carpenter of Lilesville and Emily Carpenter of Lilesville; and his siblings, Jean Pruitt of Conway, SC, Frank Carpenter of Lilesville and Harvey Carpenter of Lilesville. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.
