She is survived by: her children, Beatriz Gill of Kaneohe, HI, Michael Melendez of Huntersville, NC, Amilcar Melendez, Jr. of Charleston, SC and Rebecca Melendez of Lewisburg, TN.; her siblings, Sonja Cruz of Carolina, PR, Rafael Cruz, Jr. of Carolina, PR, Carmen Cruz of Carolina, PR, Maria Cruz of Carolina, PR, Gloria Cruz of Fayetteville, NC and Esteban Lopez Pastrana of Orlando, FL.; and her stepparents, Rosita Cruz and Ibrahim Lopez. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren.
