It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Van Eric Hill Sr. of Vanceboro, North Carolina, who passed away on January 8, 2022, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Eby Hill and Clidie Hill of Vanceboro. He is survived by: his close friend Linda Lee Hill; his children, Van Eric Hill, Jr. (Linda) of Pamlico Beach, Jessie Hill of Reelsboro and Chris Hill Strump (Larry) of Saint Johns; his stepsons, Rex Potter, III (Julie) of Reelsboro, Duane Potter (Kelsey) of Bridgeton and Brian Potter (Heather) of Minnesott Beach; his grandchildren, Amber Hill Fillingame (Matthew) of Vanceboro, Gregory Hill of Antarctica, Tamara Potter Arizpe (Andy) of Greenville, Lauren Potter of Vanceboro, Jordan Potter of Greenville, Kayley Ireland of New Bern, Kylie Santos of Laurinburg, Camryn Potter of Minnesott Beach, Elizabeth "Ellie" Aldridge of Reelsboro and Harrison Aldridge of Reelsboro; his great grandchildren, Gabriel "Gabe" Fillingame of Vanceboro, Riley Fillingame of Vanceboro and Vincent "Vinny" Arizpe of Greenville; and his children, Attn and Tampa.
