She was predeceased by: her parents, Josh Franklin Taylor, Sr. and Maggie Elizabeth Manning Taylor; her husband Sidney Albert Elmore, Sr.; her children, Alice Faye Elmore, Sidney Albert Elmore, Jr., Lynwood Raye Elmore and Preston Edward Elmore; her granddaughter Dustie Dawn Elmore; and her close friend Lois Merritt.
She is survived by: her daughter Shirley Elmore Hughes of North Carolina; her grandchildren, Zackery Cole Smith of North Carolina and Zoe Brianna Smith of Florida; her daughters-in-law, Catherine Gregory Elmore (Sidney, Jr.) of Virginia and Yong H. Dunn; and her grandchildren, Michael Lee Elmore of Tennessee, Lynwood Michael Elmore of North Carolina, Christopher Stainback (Laura) of Virginia, Amy Greer of Louisiana and Christopher Lee Elmore (Linda) of Hawaii.
