She is survived by: her husband John McClain of Vanceboro; her children, Roger Brown III of Vanceboro and Melissa Gilmour of New Bern; and her sisters, Susan Sanders (Ira) of Jacksonville, Rose Berry (Kevin) of Perkinston, MS and Pamela Avery (Roger) of Jacksonville.
