With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Carthene Wilson Gurkin of Vanceboro, North Carolina, who passed away on November 12, 2020 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Guy Wilson and Addie Wilson; her sisters, Elizabeth Morris (Ralph), Cora Bailey (Dennis), Dorothy Wilson and Shirley Wade; her son William Hinton Gurkin, III; and her grandson Brandon Jacaruso.
She is survived by: her daughter Dottie Voerman (Tom Stone); her grandchildren, William Hinton Gurkin, IV, Catherine Bayliss (Drew), Addison Voerman, Allyson Eubanks and Sarah Eubanks; and her daughter-in-law Anne Eubanks (John).
