He is survived by: his father Fred "Shorty" Riggs of Maysville; his children, Adam Riggs (Brittany) of New Bern, Matthew Riggs (Jacinta) of Jacksonville, Kayla Brett (Clifford) of Eden, NC, Amanda Riggs of Eden, NC and Erica Padgett (Shane) of Eden, NC; and his siblings, Dale Riggs of Pollocksville, Pam Meadows of Maysville and Loretta Mercer of Pollocksville. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren.
