He was predeceased by: his parents, Cursey Culbreth and Bessie Gibbs Culbreth; his wife Bernice Wilson Culbreth; and his siblings, Hubert, Allen, Bobby, Fred, Harold, Elizabeth Denton and Louise Page.
He is survived by: his son Philip (Trish) of Tryon, NC.; his grandchildren, Nicole Culbreth Wall, Christy Hendricks (Mark) and Ryan Sumner (Kristie); his great grandchildren, Dalton Hendricks (Amber), Olivia Searcy, Savannah Sumner, Lucas Sumner and Blake Wall; and his brother Leonard Culbreth (Olla Mae). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
