She was predeceased by: her parents, Aaron Shehan and Mattie Edwards Shehan; her former husband John Wesley Lankford, Sr.; her siblings, Hubert Shehan, Hamp Shehan, Nell Ridings and Lucille Greene; and her grandson Mark Henson, Jr..
She is survived by: her husband John Thomas Vehorn; her sons, John Wesley Lankford, Jr. (Marilyn) of Spartanburg, Mark Henson (Barbara Lyles) of Columbus, Steve Henson (Tracy) of Landrum and Joe Henson (Tina) of Spartanburg; and her grandchildren, John W. Lankford, III, Laura Williams, Andrew Lankford, Amelia Stiever, Olivia Henson, Bryan Henson, Cristin Swofford, Joey Henson and Jordan Henson. She is also survived by fourteen great-grandchildren.
