He was predeceased by: his parents, Finley B. King and Emma Mae Harris King; his wife Dorothy June Whitt King; his brothers, Finley King, Charles King and Edgar King; and his son David Blaine King.
He is survived by: his children, Robert Michael King (Vicki) and Lisa Carol Adcox (Bill); his grandchildren, Morgan, Zachery, Ashley, Blaine, Katie and Hannah; and his great grandchildren, Riley, Ayla, Cody, Kinslea, Ivy, Josie, Ashlyn, Jocelyn, Jaxson, Lawson and Judah.
In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Gordon Hospice House at 2341 Simonton Rd, Statesville, NC 28625.
