He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Soterios (Tom) of Thrace and Anna Anagnostopoulos Meletis of Peramos; his siblings, Bessie M. Charuhas and Angelo Meletis; his close friends, Exit, James Jennings, Tom Gallos, Jimmy McKnight, Pete and Scallywags; his wife Vivian Carol Smith; his children, Tom Meletis (Effie), Nick Meletis (Joanna), Ann Scott (Don), Cheryl Meletis, Chad Smith (Destiny Bowie) and Miranda Oglesby (Zane); his grandchildren, Peter Meletis, Stephanie Proffitt (John), Honeigh Strickland (Dan), Lucas Meletis, Rip Scott, Nicholas Scott, Wilson Ebert (Corie) and Harrison Ebert; and his great grandchildren, William Ebert, Thomas and Peter Ebert.
