She was predeceased by: her parents, Noah Privette and Myrtle Anderson Privette; her husband William A. Stroud; her siblings, Lake Privette, Arkie Privette, Bidford Privette, Reba Ricco and Stella Privette; and her great grandchild Austin James Baker.
She is survived by: her sisters, Willa Hinson and Phoebe Lindley; her sisters-in-law, Sylvia Privette, Barbara Privette, Lucille Stroud and Martha Cash; her children, Allen Stroud (Teresa), Wayne Stroud (Jane) and Teresa Cook (Michael); and her grandchildren, Angie Bass (Jamie), David Stroud (Ivy), Lorrie Warren (Brad), Carrie Reavis (David), Robert Colvert (Leslie), Doug Cook (Nikki) and Chris Stroud. She is also survived by thirteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Gordon Hospice House, 2347 Simonton Rd. Statesville, NC 28625 or the Alzheimer's Association through the Gardens of Statesville.
