With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Walter Lee Auton (Taylorsville, North Carolina), who passed away on June 25, 2018 at the age of 69. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Walter Lee Auton to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his siblings, Vonteener Auton, Bobbie Auton, Jakie Daniels, Elisha Auton and Luedell Harrington.
He is survived by: his grandson Levi.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 44 years; Renay Dianne Parsons Auton, son; Joseph and wife Stephanie, one grandchild; Levi, brothers; Jimmy Auton and wife Sheliah, Frankie Auton, and Danny Auton, sisters; Effie Deal, Judy Barnes and husband Charles "Toon', Linda Dagenhart and husband Gene, Elaine Hamlin and husband Travis, with a number of special nieces and nephews. A Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 28, 2018 at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church from 1:30 pm – 3:30 pm. The Funeral Service will follow at 3:30 pm with the Rev. Chris Goforth and the Rev. Darren Lambert officiating. Burial will take place in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice of Alexander County, 50 Lucy Echerd Ln, Taylorsville, NC 28681.
