It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sylvia Fox Melton (Taylorsville, North Carolina), born in Alexander, North Carolina, who passed away on January 4, 2019, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Billy Sawyer and Nellie Jolly Fox; her husband Walter Melton; her brother J. C. Fox; her daughter Sandra Shook (Robbie) of Taylorsville; her grandchildren, Erica Murphy (Michael) of Taylorsville and Justin Shook of Taylorsville; her great grandchildren, Dane, Lathan and Sawyer Murphy of Taylorsville; and her siblings, Fred Fox (Madeline), Ricky Fox (Carol) and Patricia Watson (Alan) of Taylorsville.
